| Job Description: |
General:
• Design the concept, message and graphics for packaging and sales literature to a high standard for Western markets.
• Visualise and mock-up designs.
• Have experience of liaising with manufacturers for sampling & cost.
• Work closely with Product Development team.
• Be able to handle own projects and work to tight deadlines.
• Research packaging trends, visit relevant trade shows and comparative shopping reports.
• Have attention to detail.
• Able to work on both IBM and MAC operating systems.
Duties:
• Produce digital art files for various media including print, web, scanning, file retrieval, digital photo-shopping and illustration as required.
• Produce and manage incoming readymade artwork under the set deadlines with input from many different sources.
• Keen to solve any problems that may affect meeting the deadline.
• Solve problems both creatively and technically to produce projects effectively and in a very impressive way.
• Make suggestions for any improvements to design/production.
• Using independent judgment, create and develop printed and electronic presentations that reflect a job brief from the Product Designers.
• Keep digital artwork in order and archived correctly.

| Skills Required: |
Skills Required:
• Be very creative and proficient in the technical aspects of the job
• Generate a stream of new & fresh ideas for commercial, cost effective packaging designs.
• Excellent written and spoken English and a little Mandarin would be useful.
• Minimum 5 years commercial experience in all areas of design from packaging and corporate, through to print production and output.
• Be fluent and have excellent skills in Quark Xpress, In-design, Illustrator & Photoshop etc..
• Any video editing experience will be highly desirable
• Self motivated, responsible with high initiative.
• Positive.
• Open-minded.
• Can-do attitude.
• Have a relevant design qualification
• A current portfolio of your work is a mandatory requirement.
