-- Ensures all foundation services operate effectively and efficiently
-- Knows each environment from top to bottom in terms of statistics and performance characteristics
-- Leads impact analyses on the environment
-- Drives improvement of the environment via reports, knowledge of the environment, and personal experience
-- Manages and implements service agreements with vendors
-- Defines SLAs with vendors and manages relationships
-- Change management of production of production systems with regards to physical or system changes
-- Configuration management of the regional IT infrastructure
-- Works with line of business Directors to define and manage Operational Level Agreements and ensure compliance
-- Forecasts and manages capacity for network and other infrastructure items
-- Day-to-day interface with operational service vendors
-- Conducts business impact analyses
-- Plans and implements disaster recovery services
-- Implements technology refresh projects in compliance with engineering standards
-- Manages overall performance of infrastructure items
-- Management of tier 1 support organizations and tier 1 response procedures
-- Adheres to regional and corporate policies and procedures for service management, financial management, and security

-- Leads management team for operations; which includes Operations Center, Hardware/Purchasing, Desktop Support, US Based Data Centers, Help Desk, Application Support, Tier 2 Infrastructure Support
-- Performs annual personnel reviews
-- Reviews and approves salary adjustments, HR actions, and other administrative functions related to HR

| Skills Required: |
-- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
-- A graduate degree in Computer Science (MS) or Business (MBA) is highly preferable.
-- A Masters degree in a related field is desirable.
-- The Director of IT Operations should have five to ten years experience in Information Technology in a leadership role. Must be process-oriented and experienced taking IT Operations to a higher level of maturity rather than sustaining the current state.

-- 5-10 years experience at a Director level or above
-- Experience working with a diverse set of technologies and foundation services
-- Experience formalizing and growing an IT operations department and raising the maturity level of an organization
-- Current in ITIL concepts
-- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
-- Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing to Brink's business executives
-- Skills of communication, interpersonal effectiveness, problem solving, and conflict resolution
-- Facilitation
-- Previous experience in areas of operations engineering
-- Works independently with limited supervision
-- Customer service and/or product support
-- Experience in a training/teaching environment
-- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
-- Budgeting experience
-- Experience supporting some or all of the following technologies: Windows – Active Directory, SMA, Patch Management, GPO, VMWare/Virtualization, Clustering, BizTalk, .Net, SQL Server; McAfee – EPO; Symantec – NetBackup/Veritas, Backup Exec; AIX – GPFS, HACMP, Partitioning/LPAR; SAN Technologies / EMC/Hitachi – Replication, Mirroring, Snap, Clone; Oracle; Microfocus Cobol; Coldfusion/Flex |
