| Job Description: |
This leading Organisation is seeking a Network Engineer for a full-time role based in Qatar.
The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining network systems and services, ensuring service levels are sustained, including servers, routers, switches, firewall, VPN, traffic QoS, VoIP, other IP devices, as well as all critical applications by installing, upgrading, configuring and troubleshooting networking technologies.
The Engineer shall be responsible for investigating and installing new solutions and the on-going administration and support of those solutions in meeting the needs of the Hospital to deliver the highest standards of quality clinical, patient, and administrative service.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
1 Responsible for Sustain adequate consistency, predictability and stability of all networking systems and services supported by the Information Technology department.
2 Monitor, respond, configure, audit, and operate the production network at all layers (1-7).
3 Develop scalable network designs, solutions, policies, and recommendations by working with the Infrastructure team.
4 Ensures effective and efficient use of servers, efficient allocation of infrastructure resources.
5 Provides technical support to users with different levels of IT knowledge and competencies.
6 Ensures that all IT components comply with industry standards.
7 Identify research, evaluate and recommend network related tools and emerging network technologies.
8 Support and lead implementation of growing network infrastructure.
9 Provide final-tier support for network related issues and events.
10 Provides user training and written guidelines and instructions to support relevant user groups in the use of the IT systems.
11 Trains and advises other IS support staff.
12 Works closely as part of a team with other departments to analyse requirements or solve problems, plan and implement future IT developments.
13 Assumes any other responsibilities as directed by the Infrastructure Manager.
To apply you will have a Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering Diploma (or equivalent). A Minimum 3 years experience in IT, preferably with healthcare and hospital systems with strong MS Windows and some open source experience preferred.
In return you will receive a TAX FREE salary between $30k - $35k USD Tax Free plus excellent benefits including free fully furnished housing, transportation allowance, family benefits and many other benefits. Please note the salary is non negotiable.
