Job Description: Our client, a leading and prestigious real estate developer in UAE, is looking for a topnotch Finance Director for their office in Abu Dhabi.

Job Purpose
To plan, direct, lead, coordinate and assure all Financial Management operations under the supervision of the CFO in accordance with the Company’s strategic and approved policies & procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Direct the Company’s Treasury and Financial accounting & Reporting functions.
• Liaise with and support the C FO in the development of the Company’s 5 year strategic plan.
• Recommend financial costing and accounting principles, standards, systems, internal controls, policies, procedures and practices for review and approval by the CFO
• Monitors the Company’s expenditures and performance against the Annual Budget.
• Direct the preparation of the Company’s Annual financial statements
• Direct the fulfillment of the Company’s Financial Management Reporting requirements through its Management Information Systems.
• Liaise with and support the CFO in the development of financial management Performance Metrics including Key Result Areas (KRA’s} and related Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in coordination with relevant business units.
• Take primary responsibility for identification of financial risks and development of strategies and action plans to mitigate them to review and approval by the CFO
• Report significant issue, major decision, unforeseen events/issues and regular activities to the CFO for decisions.
• Recommend the selection of candidates for Treasury and Financial Accounting & Reporting management roles.
• Evaluate and mange the performance of subordinates.
• Perform any duties assigned by the CFO (as and when required)


Skills Required::
Personal Profile/Competencies
• Professional qualifications in Finance (CA/CPA) with over 8 years experience in a senior Finance role.
• Good knowledge of IFRS’s
ç • Experienced gained within Conglomerate or Real Estate Development
Company highly desirable.
• Strong experience of developing, operating and maintaining financial and
organizational risk-management frameworks
• Strong interpersonal, communication, numerical analytic and problem solving
skills
• Strong management skills including decision making, negotiation, risk
management and interpersonal skills
• Strong financial reporting experience including exposure to regulatory
authorities and experience of public listed companies
• Able to liaise effectively with senior management to ensure effective
communications related to financial managements.
