Assistant Director Tax
Provides Federal, state, local and international technical tax expertise, in the areas of accounting for income taxes, risk management, process control and compliance
Summary Of Responsibilities
Performs complex research, analysis, compliance and accounting assignments for the Tax Department
Assists with the leadership of the International Tax Team
Performs complex research, analysis, compliance and accounting assignments for the Tax Department
Prepare and maintain all information required for accounting for income taxes, including but not limited to:
O Detailed analysis of accounting for income taxes including:
Detailed analysis of tax accounting positions under Fas 109.
Complete understating and maintenance of all data requirements under FIN 48, including all documentation, tables and footnotes.
10-Q and 10-K footnotes, disclosures and reconciliations.
Design, maintain and support the tax function in all SOX 404 requirements on a global basis.
Provide tax analysis, documentation and support for all inter-company charges.
Provide support for all Federal, state, local and international audit requirements.
Research and plan for international tax issues.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of consolidated federal income tax return(s), including full M-3 analysis, federal limited liability company, United States reporting for foreign owned companies, joint ventures, partnerships and partnership returns and foreign owned US companies (5471s, 5472s, 8865s, 8858s).
Provide detailed analysis for all deferred tax matters.
Lead the monthly, quarterly and year end tax accounting provision process.
Lead the review of state and local income tax filings, franchise tax returns, sales / use returns, property tax returns, escheat filings and annual reporting.
Assist with due diligence, analysis and reporting on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as requested by the VP Tax, Treasury & Risk Management.
Assist in the pursuit, analysis and reporting of all tax incentives, credits and abatements.
Research and accurately communicate Federal, state, local and limited international tax positions and the reporting as required under FIN 48, FAS 109 and SOX 404.
Perform all other duties and special assignments as requested.
Support the Companys mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
Responsible for adhering to internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.
Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws
Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, Change Control, Level II Procedures etc.)

Ability to act as a tax advisor to the tax group, business unit personnel, and enterprise finance personnel in the areas of accounting for income taxes

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting, Masters in taxation or Masters "in process" preferred, CPA a plus.

| Skills Required: |
Minimum of 10 years experience as a Assistant Tax Director, Tax Manager, Senior Tax Accountant or Supervisor capacity in private industry or public accounting, with a focus on International taxes and Accounting for income taxes, and 8 years of management experience.
PC and network literacy, including tax preparation software, tax research software, spreadsheets, word processing and graphics software
Working knowledge of tax depreciation software
Ability to do complex research and effectively communicate the results
Excellent organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work projects
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Must be able to perform with a high degree of accuracy
May work with international colleagues possessing limited English skills Bi-lingual experience is a plus (German, Italian, Polish, Korean, Chinese). Possess understanding and sensitive to cultural diversity. |
