Job Description

To provide mechanical building services design engineering expertise on single and multi disciplinary projects.
Requirements
Essential
* Degree qualified – minimum requirement of BEng
* Minimum 3-5 years experience working in design of Building Services for Private, Government, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Leisure and Hotel markets.
* Experience of mechanical design software – Computer design package E-20, IES Design Suite, Hevacomp
* Understanding of British, American and International design standards
* Good level of computer literacy in Windows and other Microsoft products
* Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
* Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is essential
Desirable
* IEng or CEng qualification
* Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles
* An understanding of AutoCAD
Responsibilities
* Mechanical building services engineering design, from concept design through to construction issue and site supervision
* Carrying out design calculations on a variety of buildings i.e. residential, commercial, educational, leisure facilities, industrial etc
* Design according to local utilities rules, regulations and design guides
* Design to British, American and International design standards
* Preparing technical specifications
* Preparing drawings for drafting by in-house CAD team
* Instruct CAD operators in all project related matters and responsible for the checking of all CAD works done
* Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers and Electrical Engineers and any other external design consultant
* To understand and implement our clients ME Quality Assurance procedures
* Site surveys and inspections
