| Job Description: |
Develops, implements, and coordinates policies and programs covering the
following areas:
Employee Relations:
Partner with managers to sensitively handle employee relations issues
and bring them to a timely resolution, including counseling,
disciplinary action and terminations.
Advise on employee grievances and bring any serious matters to the
attention of management and the Director of People Services as
appropriate.
Hold Exit Interviews and analyze trends for leaving.
Coordinate effective communication of issues in a multilingual
environment.
Staffing:
Develop controls regarding employment and analyze manpower, turnover and
other personnel statistics by operations.
Coordinate selection, promotion and placement of internal employees.
Ensure that employment practices are in compliance with applicable
federal and state laws.
Legal Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Employment Laws and requirements, as well as Company and Corporate policies and
procedures.
Training and Development:
Assist with employee career development and transfers.
Assist the Development Team with all training matters, including
identifying appropriate training and development activities, management
development, and succession plans.
Ensure that all employees receive an annual formal Career Development
Review (CDR) and deal with follow up training needs.
Union Relations:
Interact effectively with the Union to bring employee relations issues
to conclusion.
Ensure ongoing communication with complex stewards in reference to
employee issues.
Administration:
Responsible for HR Performance Metrics: Turnover, Absenteeism,
Tardiness, Modified Duty, New WC Claims, Injuries, People Survey,
EEOC/HRC Claims.
Assist in various HR Project work and HR initiatives.
Responsible for the overall administration and performance of all
timekeeping functions.

Experience-5-8 Years Related Experience
