| Job Description: |
The Senior Consultant participates as a member of a team responsible for the day-to-day activities at an internal audit engagement or consulting engagement, including, but not limited to: planning, organizing and interacting with the management team, executing specific detail tasks assigned by the project manager. Internal Audits and other consulting assignments may be of financial, operational, compliance, managerial, or strategic in nature.
Specific Activities and Responsibilities:
- Assist with development of project scope of internal audit or consulting assignment.
- Develop documentation of existing internal controls and internal processes
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in a variety of business areas.
- Develop solutions to strengthen controls, improve profitability and aid management decision-making capability.
- Perform Due diligence work or special reviews/investigations as needed.
- Assist in oral and written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the examination, discussing deficiencies and recommending corrective actions to improve operations and reduce cost.
- Build relationships with and gain the confidence of appropriate client management personnel. |
| Skills Required: |
- BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, Business System Analysis or a related business field
- Minimum of 5 years experience to include operational and financial auditing and/or public accounting at the Senior Auditor level
- Strong process and analytical skills
- Knowledge of GAAP and general business and operational principles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency
- Consulting experience is a plus
- CPA/CIA/CISA/MBA and IT audit experience a plus
- Working knowledge of SOX/COSO Integrated Internal Control Framework preferred |
