The ideal candidate must be in possession of:
The successful candidate will be required to fulfill the following job description:
❑ Responsible to ensure that the day to day operational Office and Site Health Safety and Environmental related matters are of the highest standards
❑ Ensure that Quality systems of Clients are complied with, and ensure that quality of work and services performed is of highest standard.
❑ Responsible to ensure that Construction is executed in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and it's regulations as amended, as well as the Clients requirements.
❑ Responsible together with the Client's Engineering management to ensure that Engineering is executed in a professional and concise manner in accordance with the project scope and the Clients requirements.
❑ Complies with all the Clients Commercial and Procurement procedures in the execution of his duties.
❑ Ensure that all Hazop's, PDA's, Risk assessments, model reviews and the minimum requirements from the Clients BDI as well as the procedures are adhered to.
❑ Accountable for project scope within the agreed time and cost
a Responsible for compiling Project estimates as a deliverable to Management for approval
❑ Provide leadership and co-ordination for the office teams and projects.
❑ Provide liaison between project teams/clients/contractors/authorities/licensor
❑ Act as a catalyst in anticipating and overcoming problems
❑ Identify and manage resources
❑ Responsible for all activities from conceptual or BEP to RFC (Ready for Commissioning) of new production facilities
❑ Draw up, agree and manage the plan of execution
❑ Report on project progress to management and client.
ability to interpret MFD's, P&ID's, systems and test packs is also required as well as a familiarity of petro-chemical specifications, industry norms and standards.
❑ Knowledge of the major SA client specifications and working requirements would be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Piping Field Engineer and be required to fulfil the following job description:
❑ Carry out progressive quality control and testing functions up to Client acceptance
❑ Monitor sub-contractor progress
❑ Reporting of piping up to Client acceptance |
Skills Required:: |
1. Engineering Degree / Diploma.
2. Relevant experience as a Project manager and Construction management background of between 6 - 8 years in the Petro-chemical industry.
3. Have strong commercial background advantageous.
5. Experience of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations as amended
6. A working knowledge of the BDI model will be advantageous |
