This is a retained Executive Search for our client a World leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft, turbines and space propulsion systems with operating profits of $2.0 billion in 2007. The successful candidate will work with the Export/Import Operations team and be responsible for:
Managing our client’s U.S. Customs Compliance Program
Maintaining U.S. Customs Policies and Procedures Manual
Providing training to key personnel in the area of Customs compliance
Auditing and maintaining Import entries to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs Regulations
Create and maintain a Harmonized Tariff Schedule listing for our client’s engine components and support equipment
Completing U.S. Customs Requests for Information/Notices of Action
Analyzing Anti Dumping Duty Exposure and providing reports to management on a quarterly basis
Managing Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program.
Providing analysis, guidance and counseling to internal P&W clients on International Trade/Customs Issues.
Managing our client’s ITAR controlled imports, including the creation of a program to manage imports under DSP 73 Temporary Export Licenses
The U.S. Customs Compliance Manager will actively participate in ACE process improvement activities and help develop common process approaches for use by all our organizations and disciplines.
Candidate Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 6-10+ years experience
At least five years experience working with U.S. Customs Regulations (preferred)
Candidates holding a Customs Brokers license or having work experience with the U.S. Customs Service/Department of Homeland Security (recommended)
Experience working with International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Regulations (preferred)
Technical background within an aerospace manufacturing environment (preferred)
