Duration of Assignment:
• Full time with probation period of 2 months.
Position concept:
• The concept of a Country Agent (CA)is to be the first line of inbound and outbound contact for all shippers and clients in a specific country (group) or region.
Closing as many deals (Freight Quotations) as possible will help Find Freight grow rapidly. To build up this process the CA’s need to actively find new clients and shippers through marketing and sales activities by phone and email.
Position Objective
• The main objective of a CA is to get a new or existing client a competitive price quotation for any RFQ (request freight quotation) the client books on FF.biz. We centre our activities around the client. And as a result certain conditions must be met to satisfy the needs of clients and guarantee an error free working environment.
• In order to fulfil our main objective we need CA’s to work together with other CA’s, share information and supply additional info (upon request) about FF users.
• Each CA is assigned a county or countries (home country) which best fit the CA’s possibilities in terms of skills, and experience and even likeability (if all other factors are equal).
• Being responsible for a country or countries the CA performance is measured by the number of RFQ originated by clients in his home country which turn into Transport Orders (TO). The number of target TO’s will be set realistic. TO’s are recorded in the weekly rfq report.
Prime Job Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a clean FF database and extra mailing lists: remove undelivered emails or remove requests (very important)
2. Abstract large numbers of email addresses from the internet both from clients and shippers.
3. Categorize clients and shippers in Quality+, Quality +/- (CA will be trained in this)
4. Attract shippers to register by means of emailing, telemarketing.
5. Internet marketing to some extent; enlarging the exposure of the FF platform and advantages on the internet.
6. Provide advice and support to management on employee relations and employment law issues.
7. Provide support to management with operations processes.
8. Develop internal policies and apply rigorously on company employees.
9. Issue regular reports required by management.
10. Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the management.
The skills necessary to reach TO targets are:
1. Almost fluent in the language of the assigned home country
2. Good verbal skills
3. Database (DB) / administrative capabilities in which the CA will be trained
4. Knowledge of the most common Microsoft software programs
5. Telemarketing skills
6. Service minded; understanding what does a client want; what does a shipper want
7. (Soft) selling capabilities
8. Language skills English and home country language skills
9. Capable of typing text with at least average speed
In order to perform the CA must have a more than average intelligence. Mostly because he needs to interpret the FF database, think for all users concerned (clients and shippers), perform certain actions in case the client or shipper does things not conform the desired outline by the DB.
A CA must stay at times later on the job to secure a deal if that is required (most of the deals take place from 2pm onwards). Additional spent time can be made up later. CA’s must have a Go Get mentality; don’t give up easily, pioneering and highly focused on the benefits for the users.
Although the CA must be persistent the CA must also have a sense of economics and must be able to set priorities in dealing with RFQ’s.
