Job Summary
The Risk Analyst identify and analyze the areas of potential risk threatening the assets, earning capacity
Or success of the company in the industrial, commercial or public sector. Responsible of predicting change, forecasting cost to the organization and predicting future trends. The role can be differ according to the area or work: credit, market, operational and regulatory. A Risk Analyst¡¦s role is to formalize the process of risk management within the company. This involves business decision making and enabling the process of risk taking.
Duties And Responsibilities
„Ï Managing resources wisely.
„Ï Evaluating sources of action and proposed business decisions.
„Ï Protecting the company¡¦s assets and public image.
„Ï Conducting research to assess the severity of risk.
„Ï Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate risk and using statistical software
„Ï Making recommendations to reduce/control risk, which may involve an insurance strategy.
„Ï Reviewing legal documents.
„Ï Presenting ideas via reports and presentations, outlining findings and making recommendations
For improvements.
„Ï Working with traders to calculate the risk associated with specific transactions.
„Ï Analysing a bank¡¦s market position and running figures through complex modeling techniques
To find value at risk (VAR) measurements.
„Ï Using financial packages and software, including portfolio management software.
„Ï Studying government legislation, which may affect a company, and advising on compliance.
„Ï Developing contingency plans to deal with emergencies.
