| Job Description: |
Responsibilities:
* Produce and enhance digital imagery using the latest in software techniques
* Direct operations for production, review and organization of proofs
* Exercise technical and creative expertise in correcting problems, operating and fine-tuning both basic and advanced settings for hardware-or software-based PostScript RIPs
* Act as a consultant with internal and external teams and vendors including clients
* Use appropriate creative software (PhotoShop, Illustrator) and tools to create, retouch and color correct digital images based on requests made by in-house client and creative staff. Receive, interpret and communicate specific client preferences and instructions.
* Evaluate client instructions to achieve the best output.
* Determine the proper color retouching requirements from supplied material and digital camera outputs.
* Analyze and solve problems related to customer supplied files or images
* Proactively identify, communicate, and solve issues to ensure deliverables are being met to clients
* Review client specifications for adherence to capabilities and provide efficient and economical production alternatives when necessary
* Operate and integrate digital equipment at an advanced level using a wide range of application software on multiple platforms
* Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as required by equipment manufacturers and departmental guidelines
* Work collaboratively with designers to provide expertise, direction, and recommendations for handling of artwork and workflows
* Communicate with others as needed to ensure compliance with the production plan
* Monitor material usage, efficiency and recycle to control cost when required
* Perform related duties, special projects and/or other functions (including assisting in other departments) as required
Requirements:
* Associates Degree in Graphic Arts or related technology preferred.
* Ability to display artistic talents.
* Ability to collaborate with in-house client to achieve desired results.
* Ability to take direction from in-house client and provide immediate results.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines.
* Exhibits exemplary work habits, including adaptability and initiative, and superb time management skills.
* Strong communication skills with client and internal work team.
* Expert knowledge of creative software utilized (PhotoShop, Illustrator) including use of the many tools to create results.
* Proficient knowledge of prepress and printing standards.
* Proficient knowledge of CMYK, RGB, color modes, conversion, tone structure, memory colors, flesh tones and multitone files.
* Ability to produce independently in a team environment.
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn existing and new workflows.
* Flexibility to work needed hours to meet daily deadlines.
