Purpose of Job
Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas Sdn. Bhd. (BLNG), is one of the oldest and most established LNG plants worldwide. It has annual revenue of approximately B$ 3.5 billion.
To ensure continuation of existing reliable operational capabilities until 2033 in line with BLNG Business Plans, the “Asset Reference Plan” Projects function (AP) has been established to develop and implement projects related to the Asset Reference Plan (ARP).
The purpose of this position is to co-ordinate all procurement and logistic tasks for ARP project materials.
Principal accountabilities
1. To review the project execution plan and advice Project Leaders on procurement aspects of the schedule
2. To co-ordinate all project procurement activities, engineered either in-house or by contractors
3. To ensure timely provision of materials of the right quality and cost to enable successful completion of the project
4. Provide fortnightly materials progress reports, latest ROS dates, highlighting any problems (shortages, delays, changes, etc) and ensure agreed follow-up actions are implemented
5. Analyse material progress reports and expedite the buyers and TBE staff accordingly
6. Update monthly the surplus materials list and report usage as commercial savings
7. Liase with STL department for Receipt Inspection, on-site materials handling, preservation, storage requirements etc
8. Control, distribute and file all materials related documentation during procurement and construction phases.
9. Review buying description and identify any discrepancy.
10. Ensure that inspection and certification documents are received from suppliers/vendors
11. Co-ordinate meetings between Engineers and Buyers. Review project programs and check material status. Liase with Buyers/Expeditors
12. Control the assignment of Third Party Inspections and advise Project Engineers accordingly
13. Liase with Suppliers on Urgently required and overdue materials

Skills Required:: |
Qualifications
Required
-HND or BSc in Engineering and/or Business Management
Preferred
Competence Required
Experience
Minimum of 10 years experience in the oil & gas industry including a number of years in a buying, PMC and/or project support role or engineering environment. Proven track record of delivery in a PMC role.
Training
Relevant work experience that demonstrates ability to manage Project Material Procurement section independently and sound knowledge of systems and related procedures.
