| Job Description: |
The candidate must hold an engineering degree/diploma in chemical/industrial engineering, aged 50-60 years and have a minimum or 30 years experience in oil/gas EPC engineering consultancy companies with at least 15 years experience as a team leader in process design of oil/gas production facilities (onshore & offshore ).
He should have extensive experience in conceptual, basic and detailed engineering covering oil and gas process facilities and utilities. He should also be able to work independently in preparation of process design philosophies and stand-alone studies like Fuel Gas study, Availability and Reliability study, Flare study, Pipeline Hydraulic study, etc; Knowledge in preparation of PFD’s and P&ID’s for the process facilities and utilities, Heat and Material balance calculations, Process Instrument Data sheets, Equipment Data sheets and equipment sizing is necessary. He should be familiar with developing and specifying HIPPS for equipment and pipeline. Knowledge of software routines like Hysim and Pipesim is essential.
Prior experience in high pressure compression, sweetening, dehydration and handling safety related issues for the Oil/Gas processing facility is an advantage.
He should have the ability to plan for himself and other and be self motivated.
Reporting to the Head of Process section, the position offered is long term.
Requirement
Should be independently able to lead of process engineers on both offshore and onshore assignments,
Providing Design calculations
Preparing process input to the line list and other shared documents / drawings.
Preparing process input to equipment data sheets and specifications
Preparing process input to instrument data sheets and the instrument index
Professional, innovative and result orientated leader with ability to organise technical projects and gain co-operation at all levels.
Should review the Basis of design provided with the project and analyze and validate the input for other discipline detailed design.
In particular should have responsibility of
Reviewing, validate and maintain:
Design Basis Manual (DBM)
PFD’s and P&ID’s
Cause-and-effect charts
Safety charts
Equipment list
Hazardous source database
Must prepare guidelines and lead conceptual studies, basic and detailed engineering activities for the preparation of:
Operating Philosophy
Operating Manuals
Should assist during HAZID and HAZOP Assessment and Study
Should review Vendor’s data for process equipment and machinery
Should assist in assessing any environmental impact for the project
Should be able to pursue the HSE objectives of the Company
