| Job Description: |
Ensure quality control and analyse all geological data, including geophysical, petrophysical, sedimentological, petrological and incorporate these data into intergrated interpretations
Conduct structural interpretation by interfacing with project geophysicist
Evaluate hydrocarbon potential and general prospects in exploration blocks
Identify geological settings of the reservoir rock and construct geological model
Perform sedimentologic and/or other geological studies and intergrate results into multi-disciplinary field reservoir descriptions and liaise with other engineering disciplines
Recommend new geological studies and support all aspects of development activities

Skills Required:: |
Bachelor of Science in Geology or equivalent
Minimum 10 years expereince with an independant or major Oil and Gas company
Experience in exploration and/or development work within the region
Strong background in basin analysis and petrophysics will be an added advantage
Familiarity with landmark, petrel and petrosys will be an added advantage
Sound knowledge of petrophysics and strong interpretation skills of wire line logs
Able to work in multidisciplinary teams with the Geophysicists, Reservoir Engineers and Drilling Engineers with excellant written and verbal communication skills.
