Nashville Field Engineer
WSO is looking for an experienced field technician for an entry level position in our Nashville office. Initially, this position will focus on field work involving leak detection and setting up and running tests in the METRO Water Services distribution system.
Initial Responsibilities:
Perform Leak detection
Learn installation procedures for insertion meters used for field testing by WSO
Learn installation procedures for data loggers
Be available to install insertion meters as needed, including work on weekends, primarily on Sunday
Develop facility with the managements portions of the field testing, including applying for traffic permits and processing meter consumption profiles
Work with WSO personnel and sub-contractors on valve operations required for establishing field tests
Data entry using Excel, Word and/or Access
Required skills:
Mechanical ability with experience in leak detection and field testing a plus
Good general computer skills and familiarity with Word and Excel or similar products necessary
Experience with setting up and maintaining computers a plus
Be in good physical condition able to perform strenuous field work
Valid Tennessee Drivers License (or ability to get one)
WSO is a drug free workplace and initial and random drug screening will take place. Applicants may also be required to take a hearing test periodically as a requirement of some of the projects performed by WSO.
