Job Description
The Crothall Director of Training manages the training function across all divisions and support functions of Crothall by determining, implementing, measuring and reporting the results of the Crothall training strategy, in partnership with Crothall Operations and Senior Management. Accordingly, the Director is responsible for the Training strategy, the Training budget and management of the Training Department team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide advice and counsel to Crothall in the development of a short term and long term Training Strategic Plan, in support of Crothall business strategies.
Gain agreement on the strategic plan with Crothall Operators and Senior Managers.
Key Training liaison with the Crothall Divisions, Support Functions and Operators’ Training Committee.
Manage the planning, use, validation/measurement and reporting of the Training budget to meet or exceed the budget.
Manage the various components of Training Department fiscal tasks, including such things as payroll and personnel costs, operating, supply, travel costs, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing card validation, etc.
Ensure the content and materials used in training programs are current and appropriately in line with the Strategic Training Plan.
Ensure all training content and material is sufficient to all Crothall standards and legal requirements and regulations, including safety, security and joint commission standards.
Supervise the members of the Training department team to ensure they are meeting the goals of the Training Strategic Plan and are in compliance with Crothall policies and procedures.
Stay current on training and industry standards and integrate into Crothall as appropriate

Skills Required:: |
Demonstrated ability to create and implement learning programs with at least 10 years’ experience in a training function.
Have at least 5 years experience effectively leading a Training department and function, and at least 5 years’ experience working with multiple lines of business.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
HPI or similar professional certification or commit to achieving one within 3 years.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
An awareness of authoring softwares a plus.
Must be able to travel up to 85% of the time.
