This position is with the Computer Systems Segment of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. This particular division of Computer Systems, Maintech, provides computer system and LAN/WAN services to mission critical, multi-vendor, multi-site applications in the Financial, Telecommunications and Research and Development markets. The division`s broad spectrum of IT design, procurement, project management and maintenance services, includes 24/7 managed network and systems support. We have 2 openings for technical professionals to function as Fault Management Coordinators in Bethlehem, PA in a temporary to possible direct capacity.
As a Fault Management Coordinator, you will be monitoring and responding within defined procedures to service impacting events (notified via email, telephonic, web). You will be responsible to have communication with remote staff and/or customers via phone, email or web interaction in these situations.

Skills Required:: |
The ideal candidate that we are searching for will possess a High School Diploma or GED in addition to one to two yrs. Experience with windows and fault management systems (Remedy, Clarify, etc.). Additionally you must have a basic understanding of different components of a computer system including peripherals (tape drive, external disk storage array) as well as hardware repair procedures. You must be able to search the Internet for documentation or directory structure and vendor (Dell, HP) sites for solution or part information. Any background with UNIX and/or Linux, IBM AIX, IBM P series machines on some support level, window server support or desk side support experience diagnosing problems (OS, hardware or application) is highly desired. We are looking to fill 2 full time positions. Candidates must be flexible - 24/7 Facility which will require the ability to work all shifts and days.
