| Job Description: |
To conduct and/or manage risk-based auditing throughout The Group Group. To ensure that all potential tax risk exposures are effectively managed in accordance with the Group`s strategy and objectives, by utilising specialised skills to identify and address tax risks and opportunities. Document findings and advise on the controls designed by management in order to minimise the tax risks within the business ¡V managing self and / or others and maintaining business partnering
Outputs Required „X Plan, execute and report efficiently & timeously on tax risk based audits
„X Establish and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders. Consult and provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of tax risk management and compliance with fiscal legislation.
„X Co-ordinate, support, advise and guide audit and audit staff
„X Provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of Tax Risk Management systems, governance and internal controls
„X Manage relationships with Cluster Auditors and respective units by providing tax risk management coaching, training and support
„X Ensure the quality and application of tax risk audit methodology and practices through best practise and the adherence to documented procedures and standards
„X Accountability and responsibility for the planning, execution and reporting on internal audits to be performed regarding the central tax risk functions
„X Establish, consult, manage and maintain complex stakeholder relationships with the Management responsible for Tax Risk in each cluster and business unit.
Formal Qualifications and Experience Required Qualification: Essential 3 year financial degree and HDip (Tax) or
studying towards HDip (Tax)
Post article experience preferable
International tax experience and in-depth knowledge of specialised financial products preferable
Experience: 3 - 5 years relevant business/audit experience/tax consulting and knowledge of tax risk management, systems and governance, including but not limited to: -
„X Wide and varied business acumen across the financial services sector.
„X Experience in tax risk management.
„X Solid knowledge of Bank Acts & Regulations
„X Solid knowledge of the Income Tax Act and other applicable revenue laws
„X Managing complex stakeholder relationships
„X Proven, successful leadership, within risk disciplines, preferably in an audit environment
