| Job Description: |
Main Responsibilities
1. Provide specialist expertise in understanding, assessment and active management of major accident hazards and risks.
2. Authoring and updating Engineering Technical Practices on Safety topics.
3. Developing and enhancing QHSE awareness of the organization’s staff.
4. Providing guidance on appropriate designs of the new facilities and systems.
5. Conducts QHSE site inspections and surveys and provides recommendations for engineering controls.
6. Advises on oil spill or other types of environment pollution.
7. Coordinates with government departments and environmental agencies and prepares technical information.
8. Checks and reviews the specifications of all the projects from the planning stage.
9. Ensures to maintain a quality assurance system of the company.
10. Prepares comprehensive reports.
11. Conducts annual safety audits and risks assessments.
12. Prepares safety programs designed for the elimination or control hazards at operation sites.
13. Develops and recommends safety training programs, co-ordinates and participates in the implementation of the programs.

Skills Required:: |
1. Bachelor`s Degree in Chemical,/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Additional safety courses will be an advantage to the right candidate.
2. Minimum experience of 7 years in extensive engineering and process operations in the field of Oil / Gas, Refinery or Petrochemicals.
3. Computer literate in Microsoft office applications: Excel, Word, and Power Point; must be familiar with intranet environment.
4. Must be fluent in both oral and writing in English language and must have strong ability in report writing and should have leadership abilities.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
