Senior Architect – Design Review - Qatar
Location - Doha, Qatar
OUR CLIENT an International Consultants is a world ranked and leading Architectural, Engineering, and Project and Construction Management firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman.
This is an opportunity for you to join our construction management division - design review team in the role of Design Review Architect and take on responsibility for reviewing, assessing and analyzing designs. Subsequently you will be making design decisions and recommendations based on your experience and the project requirements.
To be successful in this role you must be able to effectively communicate with and direct the work of other engineers and drafters and have a history of meeting the targets and deadlines needed for the designs that allow our projects to be completed on time & on budget.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate the following experience.
• Significant experience with large projects including multi-storey, tall towers, large-scale residential and hotels.
• Reviewing documents in all phases for design intent, including use of materials and master plan intent.
• Analysing building, zoning codes and design and applying to reviewed designs.
• Coordinating with design consultants and internal colleagues with regards to any design changes.
• Understanding architectural quality and design document content and specifications in order to produce detailed design review reports.
• Working within a multi-disciplinary environment and sharing and coordinating work in order to meet required goals.
Qualification: A minimum qualification of B.Arch Degree in Architecture plus at least 10 years of design experience is required, plus membership of a professional Architectural Association such as RIBA and AIA is preferred. Previous experience gained within a Consultancy environment would be beneficial.
Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be advantageous.
