| Job Description: |
Our client is a leading contractor in the Middle East and North Africa. At the moment the company is looking for an experienced staff for their Power Plant project in Tripoli, Libya.
Reporting to: Project Manager
Brief Description of Job:
Coordinates the planning, design and construction of the power plant and ensures all construction activities are completed on time and to agreed-upon specifications
Main Specification:
Monitor and control the construction programmes to ensure the smooth running and timely completion of the project.
Oversees sub-contractors to ensure that the project is constructed according to construction documents and applicable codes and ordinances
Documents the progress of the project and communicates important milestones or significant problems to the Project Manager
Keeps track of Materials, Labour, Subcontractors and Plant, Dayworks, Time Sheets and Variations
Effective control of both labour and materials used on the project to ensure cost effective, productive use of resources producing quality work.
Liaison with sub-contractors, suppliers, and the like.

10 hours
Over Time:
As required for 2 shifts work

Skills Required:: |
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture/Civil Engineering
Five years professional experience in the construction industry plus two years project management experience
Experience in construction contracting, cost accounting, estimating and value engineering preferred
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical design and building codes is desirable.
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required
Good command of English language |
