Job Description: DST/Well Test Supervisor
Drilling – Well Services
Purpose of Position
Ensure onshore planning and onsite implementation of Well Testing Programmes
Main Tasks
1. Provide DST planning for Appraisal Well Campaign
2. Optimize logistics and provide offshore supervision of DSTs
3. Perform DST post mortem and lessons learned
4. Prepare equipment- and load-out lists inclusive of ensuring that the equipment is ready for mobilization
5. Assist in Well Testing Programmes and guideline preparation
Scope of work
1. Provide supervision during operational execution of DST and co-ordinate logistics
o Review equipment (surface test spread, down-hole tools and TCP/ Wireline guns) and ensure fully functional and ‘fit-for-purpose’ for operations.
o Ensure logistics optimized and equipment contingency for execution phase of operations
o Supervise DST and ensure all test objectives met. Interface with onshore group and Drilling Supervisor on progress and any required program changes
o Offshore supervision of operations
2. Provide input for post well reporting
o Compile operations section for post well report
o Conduct DST operations post mortem and lessons learned (operations, safety, contractor performance, NPT) and document for future operations
o Verify contractors invoices
3. Ensuring activities are in line with Company guidelines
4. Provide QA and internal Peer Review of DST Programs

1. All groups in Subsurface
2. Drilling – Drilling engineers, Offshore Drilling supervisor, Drilling Superintendent, Well Test Engineer (Senior Well Services Engineer / Head of Well Services),Drilling manager
3. Contracts & Procurement
Authority of the position (structural / advisory):
1. Supervision of service providers’ personnel for all operations related to the well testing phase Advising and assisting the Drilling Supervisor onsite
Experience and Skills / Competency
Must have
1. 10 years or more work experience primarily in Full Package DST operations
2. 3 – 5 years experience from relevant planning and supervision of well testing operations
3. 5 – 10 years all round knowledge of the industry desirable – long professional experience may substitute formal education
4. Strong drive & focus, positive attitude and proactive team member
5. Strong problem solving ability and always looking for efficient operational answers
6. Good understanding of HSE
7. Self starter
Nice to have
1. Well Service experience with Slickline, e-line and coiled tubing
2. Exposure to general reservoir management and production optimization
Qualifications
(Minimum)
1. Diploma or significant relevant work experience in well-testing, DST, TCP operations and well intervention work.
