Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Long Island, NY (near Nassau and Suffolk County border)

General Summary:
We are in need of a strong Network Engineer needed to work in our client side.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Network Engineer must have strong knowledge and practical experience in network technologies including Microsoft (Exchange, Active Directory) as well as Cisco networking products (firewalls, etc).
Number of years experience is not as important as having being well rounded and strong in networking. This person will put some of these project plans in place:
* Perform Windows server upgrade (entire environment)
* Consolidate three domains into one (full enterprise)
* Consolidate server environment by means of clustering, DFS, role changes and server migrations
* Redesign Active Directory, group and file permissions and group policy architecture
* Create machine images for machine types and labs to be consistent with overall changes in Active Directory
* Migrate entire network to new design
* Create software packages and push out via Group Policy
* Implement redirected desktops for instructional machines
* Reconfigure web filtering strategy untilizing existing hardware and software
* Refine backup strategy
* Asses VLAN strategy; redesign and make routing changes to optimize network performance.
