| Job Description: |
Is in charge of activities concerned with tendering, pricing and monitoring of projects locally and abroad. Performs the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors:
* Develops pricing strategies so as to obtain most competitive tender offers and help increase turnover.
* Prepares initial budget of projects and reviews it with the Project Manager.
* Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
* Prepares tenders, process specifications, test reports, and other exhibits that may be required.
* Assist in negotiating contract with customer or bidder.
* Proposes amendments to or extensions of contracts.
* Advises engineering and production departments of contractual rights and obligations.
* Compiles data for preparing estimates.
* Maintains contract and contractor status databases.
* Reviews all correspondence concerning contractors and responds as necessary.
* Establishes and maintains contact with contractors to ensure the smooth working of the contract awarding process. |
