| Job Description: |
Purpose of Job
- Develop a safety culture consistent with BSP’s current culture on the 3 new start up rigs
- Ensure rigs are complying with Shell standards
- Assist in the implementation of CIA
- Ensure training is performed as required by the contract and the HSE case for critical activities list
- Work with the rig crews to ensure quality toolbox talks, Permits, etc
- Perform routine audits of operations and HAZID workshops
- Develop SSE programs for the new rig start-ups
Principal accountabilities
HSE
- Compliance with the BSP HSE policies and procedures as detailed in the HSE Management System, HSE Standards and all other Brunei Shell HSE documentation
- Fulfils tasks identified in the departmental HSE Plan and ensures presence during monthly office HSE meetings
- Fulfil tasks of SWE’s and DSV’s assign
Learning & Practices Worth Replicating
- Provide input in capturing improvement and sharing in Wells Fountain
Contract Management
Well Delivery Process Responsibilities
Execute Phase
- Participate in and contribute at rig meetings, tool box talks, audits, etc
Hse Critical:
- Review all risk registers with the offshore team
- Identify Hazards, ensure bridging document is fit for purposes
- Any new risks identified must be captured in the Risk Register
- Work with the Incident Owners to ensure that all HSE incidents are investigated and analysed in accordance with HSE Procedures
Hse Critical:
- Hse incidents must investigated and analysed in accordance with the Local HSE procedures
- Participate in conference call during Daily Office Operations Meeting
Hse Critical:
- Participate in AARs and analyse learning experiences while the details are fresh in the minds of those involved
- AARs are held in response to HSE Incidents
- After carrying out any operations involving new equipment or techniques
- Operational problems resulting in lost time
Qualifications
Required
- Working with major operators in developing safety programs
- A degree in engineering or HSE management is preferred but not required
Preferred
Competence Required
Experience
- A minimum of 15-20 years industry experience with the majority safety related
Training
Special Abilities
- Strong interpersonal qualities. Good organisational abilities.
