Position Title: Accountant
Position Summary:
The responsibilities include establishing and maintaining the organization`s accounting principles, practices, procedures, financial systems, and operational initiatives. The Accountant will have oversight of the agency’s budgeting processes, fiscal operations, and technology support services.
The Accountant prepares financial reports, presents findings, and provides recommendations to senior management and the NLEI Board of Directors. The Accountant will develop financial management systems and contribute to the development of the agency’s strategic goals.

Skills Required:: |
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting; 4 to 5 years experience
High standards of ethics and integrity
Good knowledge of fund accounting
Experience with title IV funding a plus
Experience with computer systems, including fund accounting software, Microsoft Excel and database management
Excellent decision-making skills
Supervisory and project management experience preferred
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Sound verbal and written communication skills required
Excellent interpersonal skills
