Purpose of Job
Currently, Integrated Activity Planning requires improvement. IAP has been ear-marked as one of BSPs Improvement Priorities. The project that was carried out has identified three areas for improvement: accountability, reinforcing current process and quality of plan inputs.
On accountability, the project recommended to strengthen the functional planning, so that asset demand can be compared with (and executed by) Functional supply. Functions need to start building and optimising individual Functional execution plans, which are aligned with asset’s demand.
This position will look after coordinating the development and improvement of Functional activity plans. Also, the Planner will act as a capability coordinator to ensure competence of Functional planners is upgraded where appropriated.
Finally, the Planner is responsible for integrating the individual Functional plans into the Central BSP IAP – identification of risks/conflicts and opportunities and resource under-utilisation are key here. The Planner is custodian and process owner for the Functional side of the IAP process. This includes Plan Entry and Change control procedures, process controls (actual vs planned activities) and KPI monitoring.
Principal accountabilities
To fulfil CW & I activities requirements and optimising resource utilisation. Optimise resources and location to maximise utilisation and effectiveness within 90 days planning window.
Prepare and maintain TSW/4 execution plan and maintain KPI’s.
Interface with Functional Plan coordinators (SBS). Interface with Logistic Planner (SBS) and Asset IAP Planner (OPM).
Responsible for providing planning, scheduling and programming support to the process. Responsible for Planning entry criteria (PEC) planning process.
Integrate and optimise Services plans for BSP whilst matching demand from assets (activities, resources and services) with efficient supply of these services
Responsible for managing all Well Services Schedule & Un schedule deferment planning via EC (Prodcon).
Safeguard integrity and quality of Services plans and ensure that Plan Change and Plan Entry Criteria are being met.
Custodian for Services IAP input in the IAP meeting – decision support on the functions mentioned.
Custodian for the Floating Resources Change request procedure.
KPI tracking: actual vs. plan scope/production delivery, cost and actual vs. plan activities execution.
Coordinate and CW & I focal point for IAP MT and ST Services meetings.
Coach subordinates and peer group colleagues
To compile and report monthly Well Services activities performance to SBS as when require.
Single point control on changes to the activity plan. To provide input to SBS should the signed off BSP IAP is deviated.
To highlight Well Services community problem areas prior to IAP sign off and rescheduling the plan.
· Looking for candidates with petroleum engineering, engineering, well engineering or business planning background
· Need to demonstrate capability in planning complex business activities as part of the selection criteria

Qualifications
Required : HND in engineering
Preferred : Graduate degree in engineering
Competence Required
Experience:
- 5 years of past experience in Well Services Operations.
- Planning and Scheduling – preferably partly in Logistics (esp. Floating Resources and offshore campaign execution)
- Logistics strategy
- Business (or process) improvement, redesign
- Project services
Training:
- IWCF certification on well control shall be an advantage.
- Planning and scheduling
- SAP/P3e
- Decision support, Finance
Special Abilities:
- IT skills: planning systems, link with SAP and SAP’s IAP module- e.g. P3E, Primavera, IPFE and other SAP-linked planning tools
- Analytical capability: pro-actively going after business opportunities and implementing improvement
- Cultural awareness (BSP has special place in EPA, with its own distinct culture and way of working)
- Change management and business improvement
