A urologist specializes in the urinary tract of males and females and the reproductive system of the male.
Urologists work closely with Nephrologists at times as it relates to the kidney function of the urinary tract.
A urologist will manage non-surgical urological conditions and also perform surgery of the urinary tract for cancer, congenital abnormalities and the male reproductive system.
Consultant position should possess a higher qualification in their specialty(MD/MRCOG/MRCP/FRCS/PHD) with a min experience of 4 years after obtaining their higher qualification in their specialty,age up to 50years
Registrars should have MBBS followed by the appropriate specialty qualification:masters or equivalent and not less that 1-2 years of experience after obtaining masters, age up to 35 |
