| Job Description: |
Objective: Internally providing technical advices to the Production Department and the Sales Engines Department and externally to customers and distributors regarding applications of engines.
Description of activities
Execution
Drawing up of technical specifications, application criteria and testing- and measuring instructions;
In cooperation with the Engineer, producing of technical manuals;
Selecting engine accessories and optional spare parts;
Working closely together with the Designer/Draft Person and the Electrical and Documentation Engineers concerning the application spare parts to be manufactured;
Cooperating with the approval authority and the classification bureaus at engine purchase;
Keeping the classification and approval documentation.
Other activities
Assisting and advising internally the Sales Engines Department and the Production Department and externally the customers and distributors concerning applications of engines;
Evaluating of customer requests and orders on technical feasibility
Complexity/competences
Receives orders from the Manager Engineering Engines.
Works on basis of the input form of Sales, procedures and international regulations and instructions.
Advises organisation wide and to customers concerning the technical specification of a product. Analyses and assesses new, often complex, situations and figures out custom made solutions for which creativity, resourcefulness, and far-reaching technical knowledge is essential.
Responsibility
Achieving of accurate technical manuals, in which the applications are described in a clear and orderly manner;
All business related to the advices to be given by him.
Communication
Manager Application Engineering when consulting the daily business, problems and such.
Engineering (local/foreign) at discussing and requesting technical data;
Other departments on questions on the activities to be performed;
Drawing up letters and documentation. |
Skills Required:: |
<b>Skill requirements in foreign languages</b>
The <u>English</u> language is required at the:
<li>Communication with customers, suppliers and distributors on the status of various projects;
<li>Requesting of technical information form abroad.
<b>Manual skills</b>
<li>Working with a keyboard of a PC when working out correspondence, preparing documents. |
