Requirements: 10+ years of experience
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of HVAC load calculation program such as Elite and/or HAPP
Knowledge of local regulations such as DM, DEWA, SEWA, Sharjah Municipality and JAFZA. Knowledge of British Standard and NFPA.
Knowledge of designing HVAC, water supply, drainage, fire fighting and other mechanical systems design.
Experience in water cooled plants as well as air cooled plants and pumping system.
Experience of technical research and studies.
Specifications and BOQ preparation
Project design verification.
Sector Experience Req’d: High rise, Villas, Apartments, Offices, Hotels
Key Duties: Makes design decisions and recommendations coordinated with the project requirements that establish the basic design solution
Directs the work of other engineers and drafters relative to the project requirements
Works in a multi-discipline environment sharing and coordinating work to meet the project goals
Establishes project staffing and schedule requirements and is responsible for meeting the objectives
Works closely with other team members and the project manager
Interfaces in a professional manner with clients to represent the firm and the project
Represents firm in workshops and meetings to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work
Provides analysis of difficult problems involving unusual technical complexity
Makes routine decisions governed by established project standards or project instructions
Provides guidance to other designers, drafters and engineers
Consistently estimates accurate completion time of own assignments and effectively coordinates with project team and across disciplines
Regularly demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with other team members
