Requirements: The Architectural Studio Director will be responsible for providing direction and leadership for all activities in a studio which include all business and staff operations, project delivery, employee growth and development.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:
My client, a major international consultancy, is looking to recruit an Architectural Director to work on projects throughout the gulf to be based in Kuwait. I have outlined the role below:
• Responsibility for the overall management of the studio.
• Monitoring and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the studio relating to all staff, business and financial operations.
• Ensuring prompt and timely response to all proposal requests.
• Marketing and developing new business on a consistent basis.
• Maintaining positive client relationships with all projects assigned to the studio.
• Monitoring budgets and profitability targets for the studio.
• Demonstrating leadership skills by enabling and empowering studio members to reach their individual potential.
• Maintaining a positive team environment by creating programs to boost morale (recognition and reward, social, etc.)
• Providing a creative, innovative and nurturing environment throughout the studio by developing an effective coaching and mentoring program.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Director, and Human Resources Department to ensure awareness of all issues relating to each specific function.
Qualification: B.Arch Degree in Architecture. Membership of a professional Architectural Association such as RIBA or AIA is preferred. Previous experience gained within a Consultancy environment would be beneficial.
Experience: Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be advantageous.
