Job Title: Junior Engineer (MEP) 3 Fire Fighting
Duties and Responsibilities:
• The Port Authority is seeking to fill a position of Mechanical Engineer (Plumbing/fire Protection) in the Engineering Departments, Engineering/Architecture Design Division.
• As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for buildings and structures at various Port Authority facilities.
• You will also develop project scopes and design criteria, as well as budget for design services and design schedules, provide technical advice and assistance to facility and other Port Authority personnel, and prepare the technical scope of work and audit the mechanical engineering designs performed by consultants.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree/Diploma Holder in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial and industrial buildings;
• Direct experience in the preparation of contract drawings and specifications;
• Working knowledge of AutoCad.
