Unix JD (AIX + Progress DBA + Basic Oracle DBA knowledge) :
· Computing or similar subject related degree/diploma
· Ability to communicate technical contents clearly
· Strong consulting skills, flexibility and resourcefulness
· Strong working knowledge on AIX 5.2 or 5.3 Operating System
· AIX User, Group & Printer administration
· Administering & Management of Volume groups, logical Volumes & Filesystems (JFS2)
· Working knowledge of NFS & TCP/IP Configuration.
· Administration of NIM Servers.
· Installing AIX Maintenance Levels, Technology Level & Service Packs.
· Experience in installation and configuration of AIX.
· Experience in taking AIX backup or restore using TAR, CPIO, Backup, savevg/restvg mksysb commands.
· Experience on Server Performance Analysis & Capacity Management
· Co-ordinate with Hardware vendors and regional support teams
· AIX certification is preferred.
