$70,000 - $80,000 Annually (Canadian Dollars)
Responsibilities:
• Manage the Health & Wellness program to provide case management for work and non-work related illness or injury. Duties to include early case identification, assessment and intervention techniques, effective case management and follow-up to mitigate barriers to ensure safe and early return to work
• Undertake health promotion initiatives consistent with Occupational Health Services and hospital strategic objectives
• Provide expert technical advice on job-related health issues and provide health information/education for individuals or groups
• Provide HR, Management with written or oral progress reports
• Maintain accurate health records according to Hospital Confidentiality & Health Records Management Guidelines
• Provide information regarding health services & programs available through Occupational Health Services
• Provide advice or referrals for health assessments
• Organize and perform prescribed clinical health assessments or monitoring for hospital
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing with courses in Occupational Health
• Post-graduate certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN)
• A minimum of two years of recent clinical experience preferably in Occupational Health Nursing and Safety in a hospital setting
• Thorough knowledge of the Occupational Health Nursing and Safety Act, the Public Hospitals Act; WSIB Act, WHMIS Occupational principles and practices, disability case management and modified work programs including Attendance Management Programs
