The company produces in more than 16 countries worldwide with European production plants in France, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain and Great Britain.
The Head of Laboratory will report to the Marketing and Technology Director, Europe and is responsible for a R&D activity consisting of 11 people.
Primary Task:
State of the art product development (organised in terms of Project Management) with special regards to administration, i.e. planning of resources, investments, procurement and presentation, as well as interaction with internal customers
Develop test methods with regards to chemical and physical laws
Responsible for recipe development and optimisation with regards to cost down
Monthly, quarterly and annual data collation and reporting of technical progress and statistics on expenditure and resource usage
Responsibility for Staff appraisals, staff training (joint with HR) to improve performance, and staff exposure to responsibility and decision-making process
Develop and maintain close and active relationship to Institutes, Universities and other external sources to ensure a continuous stream of information into the company

The future Head of Laboratory has a solid academic background with studies in metallurgy, engineering, or the like, preferably with a phd degree.

coordinating multi-disciplinary and multi-national research teams
