Supervising the implementation of the department`s plans, as well as ensuring their compliance with company`s rules and policies, Developing department`s work plan; assigning work activities, projects and programs, monitoring work flow, reviewing and evaluating work methods and procedures, and directing such activities to serve department`s goals and plans, Proposing plans and programs that boost the effectiveness of the department, Ensuring that instructions, circulars and organizational and technical decisions are followed and applied, Ensuring that work activities are carried out according to the pre-set performance goals, and suggesting any necessary actions to the Vice President, Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates to follow up smooth running of activities and keeping abreast with latest business-related practices, Executive & Technical Duties, Developing and implementing policies, procedures and strategies for procurement activities and ensuring they are in compliance with the corporate policies and procedures. Investigating suppliers and recommending potential ones in coordination with the Material Management Department. Managing all procurement arrangements for and developing and retaining relationships with strategic suppliers in coordination with the Material Management Department. Coordinating with the material management department for preparing supplier lists for each purchased material for speeding up the procurement process and meeting projects requirements in a timely manner. Monitoring and supervising the purchasing activities and procedures to ensure providing the selected supplies with required specifications. Coordinating with the QA/ QC Manager for ensuring that the purchased items and materials are in compliance with the requested specifications. Participating in the evaluation and selection process of suppliers and subcontractors and ensuring they meet standards. Coordinating with projects procurement staff to ensure compliance with adopted policies and procedures as well as monitoring the handling process of purchasing requirements within the project. Processing purchase requisitions and Placing various purchase orders with suppliers as per the agreed terms and according to the approved projects schedules plans.
Professional Knowledge in the principles, methods and legal requirements of purchasing and import procedures, sourcing suppliers and contract management, cost analysis.
