Responsibilities
The Subcontracts Engineer will be responsible to the Subcontracts Manager for the coordination of and administration of prime and subcontracts on company projects ensuring the award and administration is conducted in a manner both commensurate with the optimisation of profitability and in compliance with company project policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:
·Responsible under the direction of the Subcontracts Manager for the administration of subcontracts, to ensure all work performed is in accordance within programme requirements and budgeted cost. Issuing of change orders and agreeing the value of works, certifying subcontractor’s monthly payment applications, claims and invoices.
·Assisting in the review and settlement of claims from subcontractors, supporting the preparation and negotiation of variation requests/change orders to be issued to and from the client
·Close liaison with project controls and finance for accurate and timely reporting on profitability of projects and the management of cash flow to minimise cash lock up.
·Effective coordination with Procurement, Planning, and Project Management to ensure timely production of subcontract documentation.
Requirements
Experience
Previous administration of subcontracts in a Middle East environment required.
Qualifications
HNC/HND/Degree qualified. Chartered Status desirable or equivalent
