School Teacher Qualification And Experience
Ba + 3 yrs experience or MA + 2 yrs experience
Master’s/bachelors in Special Education
Minimum 5 yrs experience in working with severe/moderate/mild mentally and physically handicapped children with cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome and development delay within age range of 3 - 28 yrs
General Statement Of Duties
The teacher is responsible for the establishment, implementation, and evaluation of the overall educational programs for the students that are assigned to his/her classroom.
Specific Duties
To assess each student using the School’s prescribed tools of assessment
To assess the educational program (IEP) following the guidelines laid down in the schools approved curriculum.
To plan and organize activities using appropriate teaching materials
To coordinate the student’s total instructional program with the Principal, Head teacher, Therapists, Specialists, and parents
To maintain long and short term instructional objectives for each assigned student
To keep a complete record of the students progress and achievement
To report to the school Clinic all injuries, accidents, sickness and epileptic episodes of the students
To write daily logs
To write daily/weekly lesson plans
To maintain ongoing communication with parents using the school’s prescribed modes of communications
To write all required reports and forms (attendance, equipment, log sheets, etc.)
To hold conferences with parents during each academic year:
At the start of the year for the IEP preparation
Mid-term meeting to discuss the progress report
End of the year progress report meeting
To participate in all educational workshops, seminars, meetings and events inside/outside the school as required by the school
To give clear instruction/information to class assistants regarding IEP and lesson plans and involve him/her in all class activities.
To evaluate the performance of class assistant on annual basis
To carry out any other contractual obligations as required by the school

Working hours from 7.30 am to 3:00 pm
Fully furnished single bedroom apartment accommodation
Utilities including local telephone services
Excursion economy class air ticket from point of origin to Kuwait (international airline selected by school) at the commencement of the contract and an economy class air return ticket Kuwait/point of origin upon satisfactory completion the academic year.
Paid summer leave
Medical and hospitalization insurance
Kuwait government health and medical services
Workers compensation insurance as per Kuwait’s labor law
Baggage allowance to Kuwait (KD 100/- staff) (receipt required)
Baggage Allowance from Kuwait (KD 100/- staff) (receipt required + complete 2 yrs/end of service)

Upto 4 days leave for attending a recruiting fair for non-returning faculty upon approval of the director of administration and finance.
