| Job Description: |
In the User Interface Designer position, you will be a vital member of the development team, designing simple and easy to use interfaces that look great for our web based Customer Relations Management (CRM), Human Resource Management (HRM), Financial (ERP), and Collaboration (email/Calendar) applications. The daily work includes analyzing new requirements, carrying out task analysis, creating and iterating designs, evaluating designs, and being actively involved in customer interactions and usability efforts.
Responsibilities:
•Create, design, and deliver intuitive and compelling user interface designs.
•Transform customer and internal UI requirements into designs that conform to project look and feel.
•Create documentation including interaction models, wire frames using diagramming tools, and use cases.
•Maintain an awareness of current trends in UI design, interactive design, and competitive software to identify opportunities to enhance the user experience.
•Manage and act as UI lead on specific projects including taking ownership of deadlines, deliverables, and quality control.
•Develop process flows, navigational maps, and strategies.
•Construct rapid prototypes, mockups, and interaction requirements specifications.
•Work with software developers, testers, and product
Required Skills:
•A degree from an accredited college or university is a must.
•At least 3 years of UI design experience for high-traffic websites, e-commerce services, or relevant consumer software applications.
•A portfolio that demonstrates an outstanding body of work and a proven track record of delivering successful and innovative user interface design solutions for web-based applications.
•Expert visual design skills, such as sketching, storyboarding, producing quality user interfaces with sensitivity to task flow/interactivity and layout, typography, color, layout, and hierarchy
•Extensive experience with web 2.0 development technologies and tools (e.g., DHTML, Java Script, CSS, Ajax, Photoshop, Dreamweaver)
•Exposure to template systems like Smarty
•Ability to work as part of a team with Product Managers, Project Managers and Development Team
•Excellent Communication skills |
