The Seoul Metropolitan office of Education (SMOE) will be hiring approximately 300 teachers for Spring and Fall each year. SMOE stands for Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education organized and run by the government of South Korea. As of 2004, SMOE accommodates 2,210 public schools with 1,573,684 students and 72,711 teachers.
Location : Within Metropolitan Seoul
Start date for Fall semester : August 28, 2009
Work hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, 22 hours teaching/week
Salary: 1.8~2.7 million Korean Won per month
Housing: furnished single housing (walking distance)
Paid leave: 21 working days provided, Sick leave: 15 calendar days
Settlement allowance: W300,000
One week prepaid orientation is provided to all hired teachers who arrive on time.
Health Insurance, pension plan, severance pay, Prepaid round trip airfare (Teachers flying from Europe will get reimbursed)

Founded on Christian principles, this school was established in March 1996. The school puts much effort to provide proper English education to its students. Students range from kindergarten and Elementary students. Located in Seochodong, central Seoul.
Position #191 East Ilsan - 1 position starting April 6, 2009
Working Hours : 12:30-8:30pm / Kinder - Elementary. Single studio within walking distance. Airfare prepaid. 6 Foreign teachers.
Position #176 Daejeon - Seeking 2 experienced teachers for March 2009
Large organization with more than 12 foriegn ESL teachers currently teaching at the school. Good working hours : 9-5pm. Kinder and Elementary students.
Position #185 Positions in Seoul, Greater Seoul and Daegu - End of March and Aprill
Salary : 2.4-2.8 million Korean won. Teaches kinder and elementary level students.
English/Education major or Teaching certification required to be eligible to apply. Block shift.
Seochodong, Seoul branch needs 1 teacher to arrive in the end of March 2009.
4 Openings in Daegu Branch starting March 2009. Daegu branch is a newly set up branch with clean facilities and will be starting off with 4 foreign ESL teachers. English/Education major or Teaching certification is required for this post.
