Assistant General Manager - Power Projects / Head of Power Projects required for Contracting division of Oman based Engineering Company.
Reporting to DGM - Operations, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for the profitable management of Power Projects department executing power projects in generation, transmission and distruibution. Responsibilities will include;
- Overall responsibility for all aspects of project execution
- Resource planning for projects
- Client liason
- Financial control
- Management of suppliers and subcontractors
- Management of engineering process
- Quality assurance
- Health and Safety

Skills Required:: |
The ideal candidate will be a degree qualified electrical or mechanical engineer and have hands-on experience in the Project Management of Power Plants on EPC basis, preferably Gas-based Open/Combined cycle. A substantial proportion of the experience should be with a Contracting Company involved in the execution of Power Plant projects.
Candidates should also have experience in managing EPC contracts in Substation/Overhead-Line Projects.
Must have held a position of managerial responsibility and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of timely execution of projects, optimum resource planning and mobilization, liaising with MNC Clients/Power Companies/EPC Companies, management of multinational subcontracts for design and other specialized services.
Candidates with relevant previous experience with market leading Power Plant Contracting companies engaged in the execution of Power Plants on EPC Basis are preferred.
