Career Opportunities at Infanterix
We are looking for teachers who are native English speakers, enjoy working with children and share the value we place on a multilingual approach to early education. Job responsibilities include:
• Developmental guidance in small groups by means of age appropriate activities
• Individual development by means of activities selected on the basis of specifically focused observations
• Introducing toddlers and young children to other languages and cultures
• Active linguistic development
• Performance of care duties (changing diapers, feeding, etc.)
• Leading excursions in the immediate vicinity
• Regular communication and information exchange with the parents
• Preparation of development concepts and plans in weekly and monthly meetings together with the other teachers
Owing to your solid training as a government-certified teacher or remedial teacher, qualified remedial teacher or qualified educator and/or extensive practical experience with toddlers and small children over the course of several years, you are familiar with the tasks involved in operating day care centers and/or kindergartens. Your strong motivation and creativity enables you to tailor development programs to children on an individual basis. Your native language is either English or French. Although not required, a basic knowledge of German is helpful. The good quality of your speech and pronunciation makes you well-suited to communicate with children and to promote early language development. Your have an open personality and possess excellent communication skills. You are able to establish and build trust, especially with (for the most part expatriate) parents of the children. You live in or near Munich, or are interested in relocating. Punctuality and reliability are a must.
In addition to the two bilingual crèche in Munich (Neuhausen and Harras), Infanterix also plans to open bilingual kindergartens – French/German as of September 2009 and English/German in 2010. A number of teachers will also be needed for these programs as of July 2009.
