Our client, an established architecture firm in Halifax, has an immediate need for a Senior Architect to join their team of leading industry experts.
Candidates will be highly skilled in their particular fields of practice with a record of design excellence and leading knowledge of green building design and most of all be very enthusiastic in the pursuit of continued education and broadened experience.
Qualifications:
• Professional registration along with a minimum Bachelor`s Degree in Architecture.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in all phases of architecture
• General knowledge of all disciplines
• Demonstrated independence and soundness of judgment in making decisions
• Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Management skills such as personnel supervision, managing internal cost constraints, identifying improved business processes.
Responsibilities:
• Senior level Project Management duties in design management, contract admin, scheduling, coordinating sub-consultants, etc
• Serve as main point of contact for clients during the development of the project scope
• Execution of design work specific to assigned projects
• Assist with Business Development such as, creative design, external communication, client interaction
• Mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members
• Contribute positively to a group-work environment
• Focus on developing a specific area of expertise
