| Job Description: |
Senior Pipeline Engineer to work with our pipeline engineering team in Abu Dhabi. You will provide comprehensive engineering support related to the design of oil/gas pipeline system and associated equipment.
Duties Include:
•Take technical responsibility for the execution of work in projects;
•Ensure that the objectives for the project team assigned by Project Manager are implemented
•Implement project plans required. Operating Procedures as directed by the Project Manager;
•Support the Project Manager in motivating the project team towards successful achievement of specified project goals;
•Support the Project Manger in the preparation of reports on the progress and cost of the project;
•Take responsibility for the correctness and quality of technical work executed;
•Coordinate and supervise the drafting team and review drawings to ensure correctness and quality;
•Any other duties as required
•Compliance with the Company and Client HSE Policy. It should be noted that each person has a responsibility for the safety and quality aspects of the work that they undertake. Any questions or concerns relating to HSE and/or the QMS should be brought to the attention of the Team Leader.
Capabilities in undertaking the following engineering activities are essential:
•Review CLIENT and Projects General Specifications, Engineering Procedures and Policies.
•Verify existing facilities and existing drawings and documents required to be used as input data for completing all pipeline designs involved in the project.
•Establish Pipeline Design Basis.
•Interface with CLIENT Operations group during design development.
•Review and be able to develop pipeline design deliverables, including:
Conceptual and detailed pipeline design calculations and Reports.
Preliminary and detailed analysis of pipeline routing.
Pipeline alignment sheet and pipeline final routing report.
Pipeline Crossing method selection and its design.
Pipeline wall thickness design and report
Pipeline stability design detailed report including calculations and Concrete coating schedule.
Pipeline Stress analysis
Material Selection for pipeline items
Anti-corrosion coatings selection
Technical Data sheets for Pipeline items.
Interface with other discipline engineers during design development and subsequent review of engineering deliverables through inter-disciplinary squad checks.
Assist project engineer in resolution of engineering issues.
Participate in Design Reviews, Risk Assessment, HAZOP and Constructability reviews.
Support the project engineer in developing project documents such as EPC packages, Project Design Specifications, etc.
Man-hour estimation skills.

Skills Required:: |
Experience and Qualification
University or college graduate in Mechanical or Civil/ Structural Engineering. Masters degree in relevant discipline shall be considered an added qualification.
More than 12 years experience in Onshore Oil and Gas Field.
Proficiency in the use of general computer softwares such as MS Office, MathCad etc.
Good command of written and spoken English
