Years of experience:
•Minimum 20 years design engineering experience
•Minimum 10 years offshore oil and gas design engineering experience in an EPC environment
•Minimum 10 years management experience
•Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role

Job Purpose
General Manager of a medium-size engineering business providing FEED and engineering design services in support of large EPC projects for the offshore oil and gas industry
Job Responsibilities for the position
•Manage the design engineering division
•Control the division’s expenditures and budgets
•Controls the division’s resources to maintain customer and company production schedules
•Reviews the division’s engineering services for quality, suitability and correctness.
•Reviews the division’s workload and adjusts manpower requirements accordingly
•Ensures that technical competency of personnel is maintained
•Directs the preparation of division financial reports
Scope Of Job:
Span of Control:
The scope of the job extends to discipline engineering managers for Structural Engineering, E&I, Mechanical & Piping, Lay-Out and Projects.
Dimensions:
Annual engineering man-hours in the region of 400,000; total staff numbers approximately 200. |
Skills Required:: |
Essential skills:
•Should have a career background in design engineering
•Result oriented candidate with at least 10 years experience in offshore oil and gas design engineering in an EPC environment
•Candidates with international experience desirable.
•Must possess hardcore management experience
