Specifications
Job Summary/ Major Duties and Responsibilities
• A member of the Global IT Infrastructure & Services Team, the selected candidate will be part of a team of IT specialists in charge for managing on a 24 by 7 basis an IT platform hosting a business critical application
Technologies used: Oracle 10g, RAC, Oracle iAS, good Linux knowledge, NetApp filers, 64 bit application and
Database servers.
• Working in shift on a 24 by 7 basis
• Perform systems monitoring & troubleshooting
• Systems performance analysis
• Proactive and corrective actions
• Management of data backup procedures
• Define & maintain operational procedures
• Follow change management procedures
• Develop system management utilities
• Deploy new releases of the application
• Installing data patches
• Work with the infrastructure and development team (Geneva based)
• Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System
Minimum Educational Attainment / Course
• Degree in computer science or related field. Exceptional candidates will be considered in the absence of a degree.
• Certification an advantage
Work Experience / Special Training / Qualifications
• At least 2 years practical experience in running complex IT infrastructures Experience in working in a multinational environment

Solid administration experience with Oracle/Linux including:
• Setup, configuration, patching, upgrades
• Database maintenance (storage, reorganization, backups)
• Experience with Real Application Clusters
• Performance tuning
• Security and resource management
• Good Linux experience
Hardware:
• NAS & SAN architectures, protocols and operation (NetApp an asset)
Software and networking:
• Linux Redhat Enterprise AS
• Apache, NFS, FTP, Samba
• Perl scripting
• Experience in using TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, proxies, firewalls
• Oracle Grid control
