About the Opportunity
Provides analysis of manufacturing costs and variances, assisting with budgets, forecasts, research, and assisting in the development and implementation of necessary procedures and controls.
What Will You Do?
Compile and analyze actual material, labor and overhead from manufacturing activities compared to quoted budget.
Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on cost.
Communicate with management regarding forecasts as well as specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability.
Review manufacturing information and work orders for accuracy and reasonableness.
Analyze problems and capabilities to develop solutions for improved operating procedures, alternate processing methods, communications, information flow, management reporting, and operational efficiency.
Create various reports for production, sales and inventory. Ensure that all required reports are completed on a timely basis.
Edit item numbers including, Item Master, bill of material (BOM) and bill of operation (Boo).
Qualifications
4 6 years experience in formulating statistics for a manufacturing facility
Prior experience in inventory/manufacturing on-boarding will include time worked in all areas
Strong Excel expertise
Knowledge of mainframe usage, and COGNOS, or other database programming is necessary
Must have exacting attention to detail, investigative ability, strong relationship skills, patience, persistence, focus
Must be able to slice information in many different ways, troubleshoot production process in database (Linux and COGNOS), work with all levels of management, produce reports in a timely manner, and train
Familiarity with accounting procedures especially cost.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting is helpful but not necessary
