AchieveKids is the source of expertise on creating and providing programs for children whose full participation in society is jeopardized by complex behavioral challenges, and by their inability to communicate their needs and desires in socially acceptable ways. We provide individualized community-based programs to children and their families, integrating special education, mental health, communication, and behavioral services.
Our San Jose school is looking for a Special Education Teacher, 37.5 hours/week, M-F 8:30am-4:30pm.
The perfect candidate would be positive and high energy, committed to special needs students` independence and an innovative thinker capable of leading a classroom team in a rewarding, daily living skills-based educational environment.
Qualifications:
* Special education credential or the ability to meet California Registered Intern qualifications.
* Experience teaching special needs students and training in applied behavior analysis are pluses.
* Experience supervising others is a plus.
